Are you looking for a nice coaster set but cannot find the right one that fits your decor. A lot of times I see coasters in people’s houses sitting on an end table, the counter or in an office. Sometimes they are just for decoration and used to help set the tone in a particular room or area. Depending on your plans for the use of a coaster you are sure to find what you are looking for with this Wildlife Coaster set. This Wildlife Coaster Set includes four coasters that include the Bald Eagle, Elk, Bear and Moose.
The coasters shown here are made from African Mahogany and measure 4 inches in diameter and 3/8″ inches tall. The 3D CNC engraved images really stand out and are covered in a hard resin, like you would find on the nicest tables. These coasters are made in my home, not a shop that mass produces them. You can only buy them here so you know the probability that someone else will have them is very very slim.
If wildlife is not your forte, then check out the fishing coaster here. Still not for you, check out the horses here.
The African Mahogany shown here is native to tropical parts of Africa such as Sierra Leone, eastwards to Uganda and Tanzania and southwards to Angola, Zambia, Malawi, Mozambique and Zimbabwe. It has a unique reddish brown color with darker strands of grain. It finishes beautifully as seen in these coasters.
The Eagle is famous for it’s symbolism and powerful stature. Its bold look and keen eye make it a superior hunter and is the king of the bird family. Found mostly in North America they can range anywhere from Alaska to northern Mexico and Canada.
The word Bald used to mean white, not bald as we know it today. Both male and female Bald Eagles have a brown back, white head and yellow feet. The Bald Eagle can carry an average of four pounds and its eye size is similar to a humans, although the sharpness they can see is four times better with perfect vision.
It is easy to see why these birds are so majestic and beautiful.
The Elk is one of the largest species in the deer family. Elk are native to North America and Eastern Asia. They have been introduced to Argentina and New Zealand and have done well in an environment that is not native to them. These animals are very large and to see one in the wild is fascinating.
With their huge antlers these animals can be intimidating and agree with it or not, their heads have made great trophies for some. I do not know one hunter, whether they hunt for sport or for a food source that will let an animal go to waste. Like eating beef from a cow, hunters get a leaner, unprocessed source of protien from the meat and if they don’t eat it themselves, they give it away.
Bears are carnivorous animals and range all across the northern hemisphere as well as partial parts of the southern hemisphere. There are a total of eight species of bears and the most common in North America are the Grizzly Bear, Brown Bear and Black Bear.
Bears have been popular in arts, mythology, entertainment and other cultural aspects due to their powerful, physical presence. Although Bears may be similar as far as weight goes it is not wise to approach one. As I said above they are carnivorous and unlike the Elk or Deer, they may not run at the sight or sound of you.
Anyone who has spent time in the great outdoors knows that the Moose is an elusive animal. They are among the biggest found in wildlife. Their open handed shaped antlers are almost impossible to be mistaken for anything other than the Moose. Moose can be found in Canada, Alaska and New England. The great state of Maine has the largest population of the lower 48 states.
The reason Moose may be so elusive is they do not form heards and are solitary animals. The Autumn season is their mating season and are probably the most agressive during this time.
It is easy to see why these creatures are so magnificent and thought so highly of. Wildlife is nature and respecting these animals with a Wildlife Coaster Set is sure to make you see this every time you look at one. These coasters are custom made with the highest workmanship. If you need just one, shoot me an email. I can absolutely work something out with you.
Have an idea for something you don’t see here, please send me an email. I am always eager to come up with new designs and make something new. Put in a request for a specific species of wood or a particular wood stain. With custom work, anything is possible. Here is an example of the Bald Eagle done with Poplar wood.
